Madison

This is a personal story shared by a family who lost a child to undiagnosed Medium Chain Acyl-CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MCAD).

Dear all,

This is Madison, my granddaughter. Madison died on March 27, 2002 of UNDIAGNOSED MCAD. She had just turned 1 year old on March 8, 2002.

Through our heartbreak and this tragedy we have been trying to change the way our home state tests its newborns. We miss her so much. Everyday is a challenge for our family and many others who have lost a child to such genetic disorders. We appreciate all of the support from everyone at Save Babies Through Screening.

Sincerely,
Julie Greichunos
