Handout America Campaign
On September 1, 2000 the Tyler For Life Foundation (now Save Babies Through Screening) launched a campaign to distribute handouts and posters on newborn screening.  Volunteers across the nation are asked to "hand-out handouts".  Pamphlets and posters can be distributed to hospitals, doctors offices, health departments, childbirth classes, churches, health fairs, and anywhere else that the public may can get them.

Since its beginning, this campaign has distributed more than 60,000 handouts and 10,000 posters across the United States.  We encourage these forums to provide the handouts to their expectant parents.

How to Get Handouts
The handouts, entitled "A Parent's Guide to Newborn Screening", supplies information on newborn screening and is written specifically for new and expectant parents.  The handouts are intended for expectant parents.  The pamphlet is available for free download by clicking here.  To download the pamphlet in Spanish click here.  Hard copies of the pamphlet are available for $10 per pack of 100.  If you would like to order hard copies click here

How to Get Posters
The "Request the Test" posters are for use in lobbies, lunch areas, waiting rooms, etc. to let the lay public know how to find out more information on newborn screening.  Hard copies of the posters are available for $3 each.  If you would like to order hard copies click here

How to Help With Funding
Much help is needed in raising the funds to help this program continue.  If you would like to participate in holding a fundraiser for the Handout America Campaign, please contact fundraising@savebabies.org.  If you would like to make a contribution towards the costs of printing and mailing of the handouts and posters, please note "Handout America" in the memo line of your check or money order.  Please make payable to Save Babies Through Screening and mail to:
