Call Reporters ~ Encourage Them to Run CNBS Stories!
Your help is needed in getting media attention by calling a reporter today. You can find a list of medical reporters by clicking here. Have your approach written down and rehearsed so you can make the best of the few moments that reporters will give you to grab their attention! For those interested, you can download our Tell the Media Pamphlet, or see our Media Tips webpage. If you still need more info on how to approach these phone calls, you can contact us toll-free at 1-888-454-3383.

Expression of Appreciation
A family whose child was diagnosed with galactosemia at birth visited their state newborn screening laboratory.  They gave out NBS lapel pins and homemade cookies as a token of their appreciation for all the workers had done to help save their child.

Exhibits and Presentations
Many activists have served as greeters for exhibits on newborn screening, and many more have presented NBS presentations to an array of audiences.

Help save babies by telling your story.
Help raise screening awareness by sharing your story in a word of mouth awareness campaign. The next time you see any of your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers or anyone who is expecting a baby, tell them about the need for supplemental newborn screening and use of overnight services to transport their child’s NBS specimen. Then ask them to tell someone, too!  This will ensure the message never ends.  Learn more about this important campaign.
